The text I contributed can be read here. It is a reworking of an excerpt from Albert Hofmann’s LSD: My Problem Child. In the original, Hofmann describes the effects of LSD as they take hold for the first time. The excerpt was rewritten in a series of drafts. In each draft, selected words were replaced with synonyms. The resulting text creates a series of hallucinatory images and proposals, that not only amplifies the original but also addresses the question of language’s limitations in describing other states of consciousness.
Each of the text works has been produced as an A2 poster. Selections of these posters can be seen at the following galleries:
South London Gallery, London
Site Gallery, Sheffield
Cubitt Gallery, London
